The Finish Is the First Thing You Notice.
Walk up to any pool and your eye goes to two things immediately: the tile line at the water’s edge and the color of the water itself. Both of those are controlled by finish selection. The interior material — white plaster, quartz aggregate, glass bead, or pebble — determines the water’s color, reflectivity, and texture under your feet. The waterline tile frames the entire surface and protects the plaster from calcium buildup and UV exposure.
We help every client through finish selection with real material samples, side-by-side comparisons, and honest guidance on longevity, maintenance, and how each option performs in Utah’s water chemistry and climate. There are no wrong answers — but there are better answers for every situation, and we’ve seen enough pools to know the difference.
Interior Finishes
- White plaster & colored plaster
- Quartz & pebble aggregate finishes
Tile Options
- Glass mosaic & porcelain waterline tile
- Natural stone & hand-painted tile
Finish Longevity in Utah
Pebble Aggregate Lasts 15–25 Years.
In Utah's variable water chemistry and UV exposure, pebble and quartz finishes consistently outlast white plaster — and they look better doing it.
