Hi, I’m Brian Draney, the owner of Palmetto Pools—a Utah-based contractor specializing in inground gunite swimming pools and backyard spaces. I have over 20 years of experience in the construction business. There are two things that matter most to me about the construction of a new pool. The first is your experience as a customer during the process. The second is the experience you’re going to have with your pool after it’s finished.

I set about building my own backyard pool several years ago and decided to learn about the experience other pool owners went through. I was surprised to find that many people had negative experiences full of miscommunications, unprofessionalism, poor quality work, no-show contractors, and even two or three years of waiting for a project to be finished.
